The last Eicma motorcycle exhibition showed that. But electric engines in motorcycles is a "new" technology (though they have been there for decades). While still many manufacturers use "older" technology, something that has been available and unchanged for generations, one company is making a new type electric engine for motorcycles and scooter. Even as a foreigner, and even if you are only on the motorway system for 10 minutes, you need to pay the CHF40. But starting today, if you get caught riding without the tax sticker, the fine is now double... from CHF100 to CHF200 (some $220). So be aware... ...
